Meta Cult was born in 2017 alongside Postmodern Love, but it wasn't until 2024 that I began producing artwork for it, using new techniques I had acquired, such as 3D rendering, AR, and VR.
This project explores the relationship between faith and technology, examining how we utilize them in our continuous search for answers and the true freedom of choice within the digital world.
Today, we have created a sort of meta-gods—large companies that steer the world according to their own interests. Led by idols we venerate, we closely follow these companies and have given them the power to dictate our reality.
Around these companies, a kind of cult has formed with religious connotations. Followers, who often identify with the brand unquestioningly, treat it as if it were something spiritual. They adhere strictly to its rules.
